Terms & Conditions – Wedding Invitations by Clare

By paying a deposit to secure a production slot you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Minimum order quantity is 20 items in any one style of invitation, with the exception of non-stock laser cut invitations where the minimum order may be higher (applies to styles and colours we do not regularly stock).

Quotes offered are only valid for 30 days from the date on the covering letter or from the date of the email/message, after which time any increase in costs will be added to the cost of your cards. Once a production slot has been booked the price you have been quoted is guaranteed against price increases.

A non-refundable 25% booking fee is required on placement of an order, this reserves a production slot and guarantees the prices you have been quoted.You have a 14 day cooling off period in which you can cancel your order for a refund of your booking fee, except in cases where immediate production is required (where delivery is expected within one calendar month). Cancellations after 14 days from booking date will forfeit the booking fee and any expenses incurred.

Balances are due 4 weeks before delivery. Delay in payment will result in a delay in receiving your order, in some cases this will mean moving your order to the next available production slot which is often 8-12 weeks later.

Please provide the information for your order in a timely manner, and approve the proofs as soon as possible, delays during this process may delay your order, in some cases this may result in your order being moved to the next available production slot.

I only accept information for your invites electronically (typed up message/email or word documents).Handwritten, photographs or screen shots will not be accepted.

After payment, an electronic proof will be sent for approval. It is your (the client) responsibility to ensure all information, layout, colouring, spelling etc. is correct.Once the proof is approved and printing commences, any changes required will incur a charge per invite.

Proofs are provided digitally via a PDF document. Please review these carefully and provide me with all amendments required together. 2 rounds of amendments per order are included in the cost, any amendments required after this will be charged at £10 per order.

Once an order has been completed no refunds will be offered unless the cards do not hold together, in which case replacements would be offered on return of the original invitations.

All orders will be sent using Royal Mail delivery (under 2kg) or Collect Plus for large orders we are not liable for any delay once posted.

As all orders are personalised with the customers’ individual details, replacements will only be offered if the order is faulty.

Any damage received in transit will be replaced subject to photographic evidence and return of the items.

We advise you order a sample first to check that you like the look and feel of the stationery. Samples can be ordered at a fixed cost but will not be personalised.

I will inform you when your invitations are posted, I cannot be held accountable for delays in postage.

Once you receive your order please check it is all present and correct. Please report any issues within 48 hours of receiving your order to allow us to rectify any issues in a timely manor.

These items are handmade, cut, stuck and put together by hand. They are therefore never 100% uniform.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that I have the correct address on file for posting. If you move home in the time between placing your order and your delivery please ensure you provide me with your new address so I can update my records. I will not accept responsibility for items that go missing when the correct address has not been provided.

Once invitations have been delivered, onward posting to guests is the responsibility of the client. Most of my designs will require a large letter stamp. It is the clients responsibility to weigh, appropriately package and pay the appropriate postal charges.

Designs may contain small parts, they are not suitable to be handled by children.

Delivery dates are estimates. I will advise you of the approximate date for delivery of your order, however, I am a small business and a sole trader, occasionally delays happen. If your order is going to be delayed by more than a few days, you will be informed of the situation. Please try to book a slot in advance of when you wish to receive your invitations to avoid this being an issue. (this has so far never been a problem).

We reserve the right to cancel any order (with a refund) at any time. We reserve the right to decline any order.

I own the copyright to my designs, they should not be copied by you or any other party.

Wedding Invitations by Clare holds public liability and business insurance, any liability is limited by our insurance policy.

Additional invitations. Any extra invitations ordered after you have received your items are subject to a £25 surcharge. Purchasing smaller amounts of stock is more costly, please order a few extra invitations with your order to avoid paying a higher price should you require more at a later date.

On the 25th of May 2018 the new data protection legislation (GDPR) was introduced in the UK. In line with this I need to inform you of how your personal information is kept and used. Information provided by you is kept on file to assist me with completing and processing your orders, it is not shared with third parties, apart from postal services to enable me to get your orders delivered. Once your order is complete your information is kept on file for book keeping purposes.

Handmade Wedding Invitations by Clare, will only contact you in regards to your order, we do not send marketing emails, or share with third parties.

Handmade Wedding Invitations by Clare uses photographs of completed orders to promote our business, personal and identifying features (such as addresses and phone numbers) will be concealed on our photographs to protect your identity.
