Hi, I’m Clare, founder, creator and sole employee of Wedding Invitations by Clare.
I originally trained and worked in schools and nursery’s in London and Nottingham as a nursery nurse, nanny and teaching assistant, I loved my job especially the creative projects and displaying the children’s work on the wall….which I had a particular flair for! In 2008 my beautiful daughter was born, and whilst I managed to juggle work and motherhood for a while, when I was made redundant in 2012 I decided I needed to find a job that required less juggling and more time with my daughter.
I tried childminding from home. During this time I’d started card making as a hobby, and was getting a lot of support and compliments on my creations. I began selling them at local craft fairs and was doing quite well. I was asked by my cousin to make her wedding invitations. Not long after this I decided to quit childminding and make a go of card making full-time and Wedding Invitations by Clare was born.
